FMc History

In the spring of 1973, Bruce Breault and Tunny Ortali purchased “Mattie’s”, a 100 year old farmhouse restaurant on Highway 101. The partners, along with friends who worked for beer and barbecues, spent the summer of 1973 renovating the decaying old building from the ground up. On October 1, 1973, F.McLintocks Saloon & Dining House opened serving 89 dinners.

Word soon spread to both residents and visitors to the area that F.McLintocks was a special kind of place. The restaurant became popular not only because of the authentic ranch-style cooking, but also the quality of its employees for their high-spirited service and true western hospitality. Famous for the high water pours and the deep-fried “Turkey Nuts” F. McLintocks is going into it’s 45th year of serving it’s community.

Our motto, “Good Enough Isn’t”, simply means that we refuse to rest on what we have accomplished. We constantly strive to be that much better, to do whatever’s necessary to not only maintain but surpass a standard of excellence.
